The mission of the certified Oklahoma Track & Field Officials is

to provide and promote competent officiating and starting at all
track and field meets held in Oklahoma.


GOALS and OBJECTIVES
 

To encourage the standardization of officiating and
    starting of track and field meets.

To provide an officiating education program through
    regional clinics and statewide meetings.

To provide a pool of National Federation of High School (NFHS)
    certified officials and starters for Oklahoma Secondary School
    Activities Association (OSSAA) regional and state meets.

To
provide a pool of USA-Track & Field (USA-TF) certified
    officials and starters for college and university meets.  

To
assist in the promotion and development of track and field
    at the secondary school level.

To
encourage the OSSAA to require a certified starter, referee,
    and head judges for each field event at all regional meets.

To
encourage the OSSAA to require certification of all state meet officials.

To
encourage all high schools, colleges, and universities to use certified
    track and field officials whenever possible.
